Stage one recap of the 2010 Santos Tour Down Under with commentary by Phil & Paul

It’s going to be Ali-Frazier come early July and I will let everyone else build that up - I will be ready, I’ve got to tell you.

Tour Down Under-way

I have to admit I was pretty excited for the start of the twenty-ten pro cycling season. On Saturday I stayed up until one o’clock in the morning east coast time to catch the live coverage of the Tour Down Under.

Luckily there was live audio from an Australian broadcaster, and then a fan had the stream of the race live on Ustream, although it wasn’t the best quality video you could tell what was happening, and there was commentary by Phil and Paul.

Lance Armstrong looked impressive driving a five man break for much of the race, but Team Sky, in their first race, schooled Team HTC-Columbia in how to do a lead out train in swept 1st & 2nd place with Greg Henderson, and Chris Sutton.

It should be an interesting week in Australia. I’m a bit out of luck, as I have DirecTV, and Versus is still negotiating to get the channel back on their service. If they don’t get things worked out soon, I’ll probably switch TV providers to Comcast before the Tour de France. Until then, I’ll be search for online video coverage.
